ADAM GALE's LATEST BEETLES

New in from one of our best sellers Adam Gale are two new prints in his ongoing series of Beetles. Making even the creepiest of bugs look attractive, Adam's Beetle 3 and Gold Beetle are the latest two new prints, hand printed on textured Fabriano Artistico 300 gsm, paper size 50 x 70 cm and of a small edition of only 20 in each.  these look stunning in a frame.

Adam Gale is a UK based designer and printmaker. His screenprints are hand printed in small editions and are a mixture of hand drawn and computer drawn imagery, mostly concerned with observing nature in a graphic & slightly surreal way by use of line and colour. Freya Cummings' Balloon series continues..

It maybe a bit grim outside but these beautifully hand printed screenprints by Freya Cummings can't help but lift your spirits. New in to the gallery, we are delighted as always to show her colourful and brilliantly hand finished art prints. Freya's technique is to individually hand print each colour and pattern of the balloons, sometimes up to 20 colours and most of her prints are then hand finished in gold or silver leaf.

New to the gallery we have 'Rooftops' which is the smalles print, along with 'Spotted' and the largest sized new print is Blossoming. You can see all of Freya's available prints by clicking on her page here.

Spring News.

We have been a bit off the radar the past few weeks, as our Sister gallery 'GAS'  took over our attention - where we showed at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea. We are now getting asked a lot about the distinction between A Little bit of Art and GAS - and the answer is simple - ALBOA is where you can buy inexpensive but good quality prints roughly between £20 - £250 by up and coming Artists and Illustrators. GAS is focusing it's attention on a small stable of Artists and Designers who are creating original works and very low edition sizes including paintings, etched pewter, prints on wood, silk and metal. It is both an agency and a gallery and it is still very much in its earliest of days - so the website isn't quite there yet! You can see more on the News page of GAS here

However here at A Little bit of Art, we are still focusing on presenting quality limited edition prints to start your collection of Art. Many of our Artists are becoming popular and their work is becoming collectible. We aim to keep the prices at a level that is affordable but doesn't compromise on quality, so we are starting to commission these Artists to enable us to give you the opportunity to start collecting their work at truly affordable prices.

New Artist: IMEUS

IMEUS is the working name for Illustrator & Designer Anthony Peters who has exhibited his work across the UK and in the US, alongside such legends as David Shrigley, Milton Glaser, Anthony Burrill, Barry McGee and many others.

We are delighted to be showing a selection of IMEUS hand printed screenprints and Giclée prints exclusively in the UK. All of these prints are limited editions.

New Artist: Andy Ward

New to the gallery this week is Andy Ward. A succesful illustrator and animator,  there's no holding Andy back as he has now begun creating a series of limited edition prints. We are pleased to present his first series to you exclusively - from the Natural history Big Cats series, limited edition prints of 30 with a hand stamped gold emboss. Recalling the Natural history prints of the nineteenth century, these detailed drawings are printed with an antique textured paper effect. Printed on 220gsm Somerset 100% cotton paper the image size is 300mm x 400mm on paper sized 330mm x 483 mm. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and comes with it's own authenticity certificate.

Andy Ward is a UK based Illustrator and Animator who has worked for major clients all over the World. Andy's illustration work has appeared on a huge range of products and objects, including Aeroplanes, buses, clothing, record covers, handbags, bikinis and more. His animation work has also shown on TV, the cinema and recently at the London IMAX cinema.
